Thought of the day: Earning it

Sometimes, people don’t give us something because we didnt earn it.

Its that time of the year again…

Its summer time!

But summer time is not so great in Malaysia though, cos its summer all year round. But whats more signficant during this time of the year in Malaysia? Hmm…lets see.

Just last week, thursday evening, I was thinking about  the time of the year. As you can see, this is the most boring time of the year. No holidays or celebrations. Everyone is busy with their stuffs. So what happens? And then it dawned on me…oh yeah… smoke. Heat and smoke. Smoke from where? ask those fellows below us. And then, just the next day, it happened. I dont know if its intuition, or does my thoughts itself brings bad luck. When i’m out for lunch, I was like, oh… is there a fire somewhere? cloudy day? someone burning something here? but i dont smell anything. then  Oh no, not that one. Yes it is. They seem to like to have this some sort of festival of flames. But unlike in WOW - which is a fun thing involving fire blowers and what not, with fire giving us extra spirit - ours only mean some reduced clarity in vision or in worse cases, breathing irritation.

Yes, its that time of the year, when our fellow good friend on the south, gives us thier yearly gifts while  forests or plantations. This year, if i hadnt remembered wrongly, should be the 10th anniversary (or somehwere around that) of the worst haze we’ve had in recent history.

Geographically speaking, this Indonesia is supposed to be the strategic protector of our country, from the storms, tsunami, etc white the wind blows from the south east. But now, theyre at the same time killing us, cos during the middle of the year, when the wind is busy blowing south east, these people are busy clearing up their lands after harvesting. And sometimes, esp when its extremely hot, fire goes out of control and start spreading to nearby bushes and forests. Which results in something like the grand haze last year, with vision of only 500 metre. Probably less.

Thanks to them, we now have shorter live spans. Slowly we’ll all die out of lung disease and oxygen deficiency. Oh, and at the same time, they have their own people here to. And unlike us, this smoke thing must have no effects on them. Otherwise they wont be so hapiply burning away. Plus they’re breeders, so before they die, they would already have hand fulls of predecessors to take over their legacy. Yes, they planning to take over our land, Malaysia. SO when our polulation has depleted t a miserable value, they, with their barbaric forces would mercilessly tear our survivors down, force breeding, making more of their kind, and eat the rest alive. Then maybe there would be a grand scale of hunted-head exhibition, hanging along the streets and in front of homes. Yeah…we’ve been defeated, with their secret weapon of sending us smoke every year, kiling us slowly before we realise it and is willing to do anything about it. They probably even add substances into the smokes, otherwise our leaders wont be so happily keeping those people here - you know those horny and fiersome looking kind that even housewifes feel threatened, making good friends out of their leaders while not even boterh to make them stop bring smoke into our country every fuckin year. What the hell? aren’t the going to do anything about it? THy’re just gonna let us die. So sad.

The Strange Story Of Dorian Gray

Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

This morning, I woke up to go to work as usual, taking my bath, having breakfast when i realised that theres something that keeps popping out from my mind, and sometimes through whispers from my lips… Dorian Gray. The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Who is Dorian Gray? I ask myself. I had no idea who is that, where it came from, why did it just pop out of my mind, and why “the picture”. Well, my sleep last night must’ve shuffled some information in my brain, clearing out old closets, defragmenting and then left this lil piece of information unattended. But anwyay, I was curious, so I was determined to check and see who the hell this guy was and what is the PIcture Of Dorian Gray.

Well, now that i had some time, i googled it and apparently, its one of the popular novels by Oscar Wilde. Some strange story of a guy who somehow switched with a potrait of himself, so he remained young and handsome while his potrait turned old and ugly as time goes by and his behaviour that turns from innovent to vile.

Well, looks like some nice, enigmatic story. But i’m not gonna tell it here. If you’re interested, you can read it here. Or if you’re too lazy to read the whole story but want to know all about it, see wikipedia. There we’re even several movie made out of it, with the oldest Hollywod one sounding like it would be really nice, classic and mysterious. Theres also a painting done by Ivan Le Lorraine Albright used in this movie. You can see it here. Then theres a way older Russian version which unfortunately was lost. Sounds enigmatic to me. Read about it here .

Thats all for today. Gd nite everybody.

Why I don’t blog…

Friday, July 7th, 2006

Why do I blog?

Well, why I blog is because…

- Everyones doing it.
- It looks and sounds fun
- Thought it would be a fun, exciting and creative way to express myself
- Thought that I can easily share with my friends some of my life experiences
- Thought that I could say things I’ve always wanted to say to the world.

Then why don’t I blog?

Why I don’t blog is because…

- Well, I’m lazy. Its too troublesome. I have to come here, open the page, write fun stuffs and hope people will like it, put in some pictures that i will have to edit, etc etc..blablabla…
- The things I really wanted to say aren’t the kind of things that I want everyone to hear. Talking about feelings and how am i doing. Things that everyone can hear, doesnt seem to realy matter, and doesnt worth the trouble.
- I’m neither fun nor creative. Rather unexciting and boring.
- i’m bad at putting my thoughts into words and then make them sound like they make sense.
I know its stupid and unneccessary, but i kinda feel the need to be good, to keep with certain standards and all that. Which is stupid you see, cos blogging is really just about no one else but you. But maybe im just not too proud of myself, or that I really just hate competition. yeah, i realy hate competition.
- My life is uncool and dull. Who wants to know about it anyway?
- I prefer more analogous (or you might say traditional/old fashioned) methods of self expression like talking and writing own on paper. Besides being more convenient, I also find it to be more thereupathic.
- Last but not least, I’m still lazy after all.

Good night people. Have a nice day… ZZzzz….
